Identifying a Citizen model is not always easy. However, there are some ways to identify the difference between a fake and a genuine Citizen watch.
- Check the font- all Citizen models have the same font engraved on their case back and are in capital letters. Should you be unsure, you can search your model number on our website and select the back image of your watch to compare.
- Inspect the logo - the Citizen Logo is engraved on every Citizen watch. It is in large, bold writing.
- Errors with engraving- there may be small errors that can determine a fake Citizen watch. Such as faded engravings and scratches or the engraving is shallow and irregular.
- Purchasing from an authorised retailer- was your watch purchased through an authorised retailer? All purchases made through an authorised retailer will ensure that you receive a genuine Citizen watch. If you are unsure, please contact support@citizenwatch.co.uk
